Reporting to: Thushara Chandrasiri (Lead Communications Volunteer) 

What does this role do? 
The Comms team at ReportOUT play a vital role in highlighting our important and valuable work, including human rights research reports, special projects and events.

  • Create visually appealing graphics for social media, website and print materials.

  • Create research and other reports, using Canva.

  • Collaborate with teams to design promotional materials for events and campaigns.

  • Develop and maintain a consistent visual identity and branding.

  • Collaborate with the communications team and contribute creative ideas for visual content.

  • Stay updated on the latest design trends and techniques to keep our visuals fresh and engaging.

  • Use our branding guidelines and 'look' in all of your work.


Essential skills, experience, or qualifications you need for this particular role:

  • A creative eye with excellent attention to detail.

  • Professional experience in graphic design (for example, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).

  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey design concepts to non-designers.

  • Experience with video editing or animation is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.

  • Experience working as part of a remote team, including maintaining frequent and regular communication with the rest of the team.

Desirable skills, experience, or qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Social Media 

  • Ability to motivate others.  

  • Flexible, responsive to change and feedback.
